What Affects the Price of Aluminium Windows?
Window Size & Configuration
The biggest cost driver. Larger windows and multi-sash combinations (e.g. two opening sashes with a fixed light above) cost more than single casements. Fixed lights are the most affordable per square metre as they don't need opening hardware.
Number of Windows
Ordering multiple windows together typically works out more cost-effective per unit. If you're replacing all the windows in a property, ask about package pricing — it's usually significantly cheaper than ordering individually.
Colour Finish
Standard colours (White, Anthracite Grey, Black, Agate Grey) are included. Non-standard RAL colours add £100–£200 per window. Dual-colour options (different colour inside and out) are included on stock finishes at no extra cost.
Glazing Specification
28mm double glazing is standard. Triple glazing (44mm) adds £100–£250 per window but significantly improves thermal and acoustic performance. Self-cleaning and solar control glass options also available.
Hardware & Accessories
Standard handles (matching your frame colour), friction stays, and espagnolette locking are included. Georgian bars, trickle vents, and matching cills may add £30–£100 per window depending on the specification.
