What Affects Roof Lantern Prices?
Size & Design
Roof lantern pricing scales with size. Contemporary (ridge), 2-way, 3-way, and square (pyramid) designs are all available. Larger lanterns and more complex designs cost more due to additional glazing bars and structural requirements.
Glazing Specification
Standard toughened double glazing is included. Upgrades include triple glazing (+£300–600), self-cleaning glass (+£150–300), and solar control glass (+£200–400) to reduce heat gain in south-facing rooms.
Colour Finish
Standard colours (White, Anthracite Grey, Black) are included. Non-standard RAL colours add £200–400. Dual-colour options (different colour inside and out) are available at no extra cost on stock finishes.
Structural Requirements
Your flat roof must support the weight of the lantern. Most modern flat-roof extensions are designed to accommodate a roof lantern, but older roofs may need reinforcement (£300–800). Your installer will advise.
